Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral HomeJanet Kay Baer (nee Ladwig) was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on October 23, 1940, in St. Joseph, Michigan to Elmer and Elsie (nee Piehl) Ladwig, Janet lived her life as a faithful servant of Christ, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
On September 18, 1965, Janet married the love of her life, Ronald Baer. Together they shared 55 years of marriage, building a home rooted in faith, love, and laughter. Ronald preceded her in death on December 21, 2020, and Janet looked forward to the day they would be reunited in heaven.
Janet’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Phil) Kuehl, Pamela (Jeff) Cesarz, and Michelle (Shannon) Dowling, who were blessed by her unwavering love and guidance. She leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom knew her as a source of encouragement, prayer, and unconditional love.
Janet’s life was marked by service to others. She was active in her church, Lamb of God Lutheran, where she worshiped faithfully and lived out her devotion to Christ. She gave generously of her time and resources, supporting ministries close to her heart, including the Wisconsin Lions Camp and the Evangelical Child and Family Agency. In her final act of giving, she donated her eyes for medical research. Her legacy of faith and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband Ronald, Janet was preceded in death by her infant son Steven and her brother James Ladwig.
We would like to thank the numerous health care professionals through the Froedtert Cancer Center that tended to “Miss Janet” over the course of the past 2-½ years. Especially Dr Guru from the Grace Clinic, whose compassion extended beyond treating the cancer she faced, to caring for Janet as a whole person. We also could not have managed this journey without faithful friends that have joined in this amazing God story with us. We are blessed by you all!
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, N19 W25050 Bluemound Rd., Pewaukee, WI, from 3-5 PM, followed by a 5 PM service. Burial at Pinelawn Cemetery will follow on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
Memorials in Janet’s name are welcomed to Wisconsin Lions Camp, 3834 County Road A, Rosholt, WI 54473, or Evangelical Child and Family Agency (ECFA), 1617 S. 124th Street, New Berlin, WI 53151.
