Janet Rae Commuso

Janet Rae (Jones) Commuso, 77, of Baldwin, IL; born on March 8, 1946 in Sparta, IL the daughter of Cecil and Velma (Milligan) Jones; passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at BJC-Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She graduated from Sparta High School and married the love of her life, Carl Commuso. Together, they traveled all over the world when Carl served in the United States Army. Janet worked at Randolph County Care Center for over 10 years before retiring. She was always patient with people and soft spoken. Janet was always modest and kind to others. She enjoyed sewing and crochet, but most of all, Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Ann Leigh.
She is survived by her loving husband – Carl Commuso of Baldwin, IL to whom she married December 28, 1963 in Sparta, IL; two children – Steven Todd Commuso of Walsh, IL and Kris (Bruce) Julius of Red Bud, IL; two grandchildren – Brandi (Mathew) Holdman of Chester, IL and Elijah "Eli" Wilson of Red Bud, IL; three great grandchildren – Austin, Mathew and Walker Holdman, all of Chester, IL; brother-in-law – Larry (Julia) Commuso of Sparta, IL; other relatives and friends.
