Janet Eskine Gaspard was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on February 19, 1976, and attended New Iberia Senior High. She worked as a pharmacy technician for many years, and enjoyed getting together with her monthly Pokeno club. She loved camping, dogs, flowers, and growing rare cacti, but what she cherished most was time spent with her family; especially her kids and grandson. Some of her favorite things were pretzels, sweet tea and boiled crabs! Janet never met a stranger; she was a loving, caring and compassionate person who will be deeply missed. In the words of Janet, "I love you more!"
Mrs. Gaspard is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Teddy Gaspard; parents, Wilbert Eskine, Jr. and Lois Giroir Eskine; children, Austin Gaspard (Kailey), Logan Gaspard, and Annie Gaspard; a nephew who she raised as a son, Joshua Gaspard (Kristy); sister Virginia Burton (Donnie); brother Tony Eskine (Renee); sisters-in-law, Karen and Claudette Gaspard; grandson, Remington Gaspard; godchild Alexis Picard; numerous nieces and nephews; and a great niece.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rita and Wilbert Eskine, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Annie and Charlie Giroir; parents-in-law, Mary Jane and Alton Gaspard; aunt, Katie Giroir; and uncle, Clyde Eskine.
Pallbearers will be Tony Eskine, Donnie Burton, Joshua Gaspard, Alexis Picard, Glenn Eskine, and Joseph Pfalzgraf.
