In addition to being a home maker, Janet worked as a Realtor for Mohon Reality in Northwood for 15 years. As a woman of faith, she was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville. She enjoyed reading, playing board games, cooking, gardening, was an animal lover particularly of her feline friends as she had numerous pet cats over the years. Janet was a sports fan of the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team, and the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team. Nevertheless, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her children: Bill (Lou) Kuhlman of Woodville, Tania (BJ) Avers of Elmore, Kelli (Bruce) Thomas of Streetsboro, and Lori (Chad) Arntson of Luckey. Grandchildren: Billy (Valery) Kuhlman, Bryan (Grace) Kuhlman, Matt (Jordan) Grosse, Lauren (Jacob) Janke, Sarah Avers, Bruce Thomas, Megan (Filip) Rapovski, Elizabeth Arntson, Andrew Arntson, great grandsons: James, Jace, and Jaxon. Siblings: Larry, Douglas, and Brenda. Janet was preceded in death by her parents: Vernon and Mae Whittington, husband; Bill, and son; Todd Kuhlman.
Family and friends will be received 3-7 p.m., on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street Woodville, OH. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. at Solomon Lutheran Church, 305 West Main Street, Woodville, OH, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Officiating will be, Pr. Alan Brown. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: the Harris-Elmore Public Library.
