Janet Ann Malkin

Janet Ann Malkin (Heil), Age 82, of Laingsburg, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Janet was born on August 22, 1939, to Oscar and Harriett Heil. The family moved to Laingsburg when Janet was in middle school where she met Warren Malkin. Warren and Janet were high school sweethearts who married on August 30, 1957, and have celebrated 64 years together. Janet is survived by Warren; children: Susan Malkin of Lansing, Steven Malkin of St. Johns, Sharon (Jeff) White of Mears, and Sandra (Scott) June of DeWitt; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Joan Heil.
In addition to being a homemaker and farmer, Janet worked at Motor Wheel as a secretary, Farm Bureau, served her community as Victor Township Treasurer, and as a Victor 4-H Club Leader. Janet enjoyed traveling.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Heil, sister Marilyn Churchill, brother-in-law Charles Churchill, nephew William Heil, niece Kathy Gutting.
The family is being served by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes of Laingsburg, Michigan. Interment at Reed Cemetery in Victor Township on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:30 AM. Elder Bill Mcleod officiating. The family would invite you to join them for a luncheon following the service at the Victor Twp. Hall, 6843 Alward Rd. Laingsburg.
