Janet Beth Meacham, 80, passed away on July 14, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family who adored her. Jan was born on November 5, 1944, in Louisville, KY. She is a graduate of Butler High School, class of 1962. She had a 31 year career at Blue Cross Blue Shield. Jan met the love of her life, Billy, in 1960 and married on March 21, 1964, spending 61 wonderful, adventure filled years together. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Gaga) and friend, Jan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially beach vacations with her grandkids. She also loved celebrating birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays where she could bless others with her generosity. Jan also loved Barbies and has a vast collection to say the least. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church where she enjoyed services and bible studies. She has a heart for her family and friends, but mostly a heart for Jesus.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Billy; children, Allyson Meacham (Nick), Melissa Wheatley (Joe), Adam Meacham; grandchildren, Madison (Jake), Parker, Carsyn; brothers Phil (Rhoda), Larry (Ruthie), along with numerous other family.
Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40299. A celebration of Jan's life will start there at noon, with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
