Janet Braun Overman, 80, returned to her Heavenly Father on December 16. Janet was born in Louisville, KY., on February 16, 1945, to the late Harold and Clara Braun. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where she served on several committees. She was a graduate of Atherton High School (Class of 1963) and attended Valparaiso University and Sullivan University. She was a long-time employee of L&N Railroad and also worked for GE and at the Presbyterian Church (USA) headquarters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard.
She is survived by her sisters, Carol Koenig (Tim), Kathy Moody (Tim), and Elizabeth Gladden (Richard), her nieces and her nephew and their families. A Memorial service will be Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1127 E Broadway, Louisville, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Concordia Lutheran Church.
