Sheldon Jason Bruno

Sheldon Jason Bruno, 43, died on December 14, 2025. Sheldon was born on January 7, 1982, in New York, New York and came as an infant to Oak Park, Illinois because of his father's job transfer. Sheldon graduated elementary school from St. Giles Catholic School in Oak Park. He attended Fenwick High School, then Valparaiso University. He studied Veterinary Technology at Fox College in Tinley Park because of his love of animals. He was employed at Eye Care for Animals in Chicago. Sheldon loved every type of animals from a very young age, and he traveled extensively with his parents to places such as Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, England, the Caribbean, the Polynesian Islands, Hawaii and most of the United States, especially Alaska. His love of animals meant that zoos and animal reserves ranked at the top of his to-do lists, followed by amusement parks, rollercoasters and water.

A Heavenly Celebration of Sheldon's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 7, 2026, at St Giles Catholic Church, 1045 Columbian Avenue, Oak Park, 60302. Arrangements by Sciaraffa Funeral Directors. For information call (773) 889-1700.
