Janet M. Weafer (Farley), age 90, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025. She was the cherished wife of Kenneth T Weafer, with whom she shared a marriage of 64 years. Janet was raised and educated in East Boston, graduating from Fitton Central Catholic High School. Her family moved to Danvers, MA, while she attended Boston State Teachers College. She continued her education at Boston University obtaining her Master's in Education. She was an admired elementary school teacher and reading specialist in the Beverly, Danvers, and Middleton public schools.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were Jan's greatest roles and where she shined the brightest! She will always be remembered for her huge heart, fierce love for her family, positive outlook on life, as well as her passion for a great lobster roll. Janet was an incredible chef, always hosting large, welcoming Sunday dinners, holiday celebrations, and wonderful summer vacations in Wolfeboro, NH. She will continue to inspire all who loved her through her lifelong commitment to her faith, limitless generosity, and sound advice that "this too shall pass."

Janet will continue to shine upon the lives of her daughters, Susan Michel, and her husband Robert of Danvers, and Loren LeBlanc and her husband James of Salem. Her brother Kevin Farley and his wife Ann of Danvers, sisters-in-law, Mary Farley of Middleton, Nancy Bezemes-Farley of Braselton, Georgia, Adrienne Weafer of North Reading, and Joanne Weafer of Avon, CT. She will never be forgotten by her precious grandchildren Matthew Michel and his wife Laura of Charlotte, NC, Riley Lutts and her husband Peter of Salem, Timothy LeBlanc and his fiancé Samantha Lingren of Salem and Cory Weafer of Boston. Her great-grandchildren, Elise and Hadley Michel and William Lutts will grow up knowing her story and how much she loved them. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Janet was predeceased by her parents, Marie (Riley) and Vincent Farley, her cherished son, Kevin, her sister, Mary Ann Lyons and brother-in-law Paul Lyons, brother Vincent Farley, Jr., brother-in-law Dr. Robert Weafer, and her beloved nephew Seth Farley.

Janet's family would like to thank Care Dimensions of Danvers for the wonderful, compassionate care she received during her stay, especially from Cindy Berry.

Janet's funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Saturday, September 27th at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
