Janice Marshburn Brady, 68 of Robbins peacefully passed away Saturday June 28, 2025 surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday (7\3\25) at Carbonton Community Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. At the family’s request, please dress casually.
Born in Lee Co, Janice was the daughter of the late John W. Marshburn Sr and Wanaga Landreth Marshburn. Janice was a woman of strong faith and a member of Carbonton Community Church. She graduated from Chatham Central High School and was a member of the Concert Choir. As a very musically inclined lady, she could figure out how to play almost any instrument. She loved singing, playing the piano, flowers and crafting. While Janice loved all three of her grandchildren, she and Averie shared a truly special connection. Together, they spent countless days crafting, baking and creating memories that Averie will always hold close to her heart.
Janice is survived by her husband, Marcus H Brady Jr; daughter, Amber Scott (Andrew); son Mark Brady (Erin); three grandchildren, Reese, Nate, and Averie; brothers, John W. Marshburn Jr (Brenda), Lou Mashburn (Linda), and Barry Marshburn (Jennifer); several nieces and nephews; a brother at heart, Ricky Hill.
Memorial donations can be made to Carbonton Community Church, 5442 Goldston Carbonton Road, Goldston, NC 27252; or to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
A special thank you to Janice’s “Sister” Linda, who helped take great care of her and to the FirstHealth Hospice staff, Lauren, Alison, Lori and Gail.
