Janice was a dedicated registered nurse for over 50 years, spending 20 of those years with Cerebral Palsy of Westchester in Rye Brook, NY. Her devotion to her work was only surpassed by the deep love and unwavering commitment she had for her family. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and especially looked forward to her time spent at the beach each summer.
Janice was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac, NY, and St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield, CT.
In 1970, she married Robert Perillo at St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Yonkers, NY. In addition to her husband, Robert, Janice is survived by her daughter, Stacey of White Plains, NY; her sons, John and his wife, Allison, of New Fairfield, CT, and Scott of Harrison, NY; and her sister, Dorothy Wilson of Lake Forest, IL. She is also survived by her four beloved grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Julia, and Isabella, as well as her sisters-in-law, Norma Canzio, Ruth Pankuch, and Velia Perillo.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 21, from 4–8 PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 US Route 6, Mahopac, NY 10541. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 22, at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Danbury.
