Janice was born on July 28, 1941, in Cookeville, Tennessee to Joe Lee and Della (Dickerson) Allen. She graduated in 1959 from Commerce High School in Detroit, Michigan and was a financial services specialist at St John hospital for most of her career. On May 15, 1993, Janice married Robert "Bob" Sheridan, the love of her life, at St Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb. Janice was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Clinton Township Seniors for many years. Janice was most happy when she was spending time at family gatherings with her children and grandchildren. Jan and Bob did a lot of travelling with family over the years. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, reading, shopping and getting her hair and nails done. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Beloved wife of Bob; loving mother of Linda (the late David) Backers, Tracie (the late Rodger) Gillespie, Joyce (Mike) Kalicki and Cindy (Stephen) Hermiller; cherished step-mother of Scott (Fran) Keigley and Aaron (Carolyn) Keigley; devoted grandmother of Kyle, Dale (Sarah), Daniel, Tyler (Angelica), Michael II and Katherine; adored great-grandmother of Kaden, Nolan and baby boy on the way. Janice had nine siblings; Wilma, Rilda, Carol, Sandy, Judy and was predeceased by Gerald, Arel, Ginger and Bobby. Janice is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
