Janie Rohde

Mrs. Janie Ruth Price Rohde, 91, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening, November 5, 2024, at her residence. She was the widow of the late Homer Robert Rohde to whom she was married 47 years.
Born August 8, 1933, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Henry Austin Price and Alice Irene Robertson Price. Mrs. Janie enjoyed working in her yard and traveling. For many years, she and her late husband owned and operated Rohde's Mobile Home Park and Rohde's Shop Rite, a corner grocery store on Proctor Street. More than anything, Mrs. Janie loved her family and spending as much time as she could with her grands, great grands and great great grands.
Surviving are: her children, Deborah B. Preacher of Walterboro and Richard K. Rohde of Walterboro; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer Garvin, David Burris, April Willis, Becki Crosby, Tiffany Westbury, Jessie Deal, Ashley Rohde, Elaine Yeh, and Layla Rohde; 23 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gary Rohde, Ronald Rohde, and Robert Rohde; and her brothers, Julius Price and Austin Price.
Funeral services will be held 4 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, November 9, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro.
