Janifer Reshell Segrest,53, of Tyler, Texas passed away September 5, 2024.
Janifer Reshell Segrest was born March 27, 1971 in Beaumont,Tx to loving parents, Tommie L. Segrest Sr. and Clara Segrest. Janifer went to public school in Beaumont up until Jr. High School, Following, junior high she and her family moved to Tyler, TX, where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Class of 1989. She went on to study at Tyler Junior College for a number of years.
Following, Janifer moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area as a young woman, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
While in Dallas, she began her career at the Medical Center of Plano, dedicating herself to administration with great passion and commitment. After 26 fulfilling years, she retired from Medical City, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tommie L. Segrest Sr. as well as her grandparents, 3 Aunts and 1 uncle. She is survived by her cherished mother, Clara Segrest, four devoted brothers, Christopher Segrest,Terry Smith, Tommie Segrest Jr.,and Dwayne McQueen.
Two adored daughters, Jada and Jala Stein. Three precious grandchildren, Rodrick Taylor Jr. (Jada),,A'zuell and A'zaria Davis (Jala), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and special friends.
Janifer was known for her tireless work ethic, always striving to provide for her family and those around her. She approached life with strength and determination, qualities that inspired those who knew her. Despite her busy life, Janifer always made time for what mattered most, her family. She especially treasured moments spent with her grandchildren, fondly known as R.J., Nugget and Coco, who brought immense joy and light into her life.
The love, dedication and unwavering spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though she is no longer with us, her memory and legacy will continue to live on in the lives of her family and all that had the privilege of knowing her.

Janifer was a fun and loving cousin! She was thoughtful and always a great listener. She and I shared some really good times together as kids/teenagers and even a better connection as GLAMMOMS. I'll miss her dearly, words could never express how much. Rest in peace cousin.
