Janine H. Orr

 

Janine Orr of Indianapolis passed away on December 19. 2023 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital after many medical issues.  She had spent the last year in and out of hospitals and nursing homes.  She last resided at Independence Village Greenwood.  She was born in Vincennes, Indiana on January 9, 1947 to Helene V Pinchart Orr and Ralph E Orr, both deceased.  She graduated from St. Rose Academy, Vincennes and attended Vincennes University, ISU, and Indiana University.  She was for many years a librarian at IU School of Medicine library and retired from the Greenwood library.  Janine was proud of her parents, her dad being the Vincennes fire chief, and her mom a French teacher.  She spent a number of summers with her mother’s family in Brussels, Belgium.  Janine enjoyed visiting the Sisters of Providence near Terre Haute.  She trusted in her Lord.

O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S East St., Indianapolis, will host her reception from 10-11 AM on Thursday, December 28 followed by the funeral at 11 AM.  She will be buried at West Ridge Park Cemetery, 9295 W. 21st St., Indianapolis next to her parents.  Memorials can be sent to Sisters of Providence, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN  47876.
