Jaron M. Demerly

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jaron Michael Demerly, 40, at his home in Lafayette, Indiana. Jaron was a beloved son, partner, brother, and friend whose intellect, wit, and compassion touched everyone he encountered.
Jaron graduated from Jefferson High School in 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision from Purdue University in 2012. His thirst for knowledge and curiosity led him to spend a year studying fine arts at the University of South Australia, a testament to his adventurous spirit and dedication to learning. Jaron found joy in delving into the past, often immersing himself in audiobooks and podcasts about ancient civilizations and hidden chapters of history.
Jaron spent a year in Phuket, Thailand teaching English and Technology and managing the Photography Club. He then spent a year and a half in California working and seeking adventure, exploring various places in the US on road trips.
Professionally, Jaron's career journey was varied, reflecting his multifaceted interests and desire to be challenged. Most recently, he served as a City Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office before embarking on an exciting new role in Quality Control at a local manufacturing company. He approached this new chapter with enthusiasm and a hunger to master its challenges.
Jaron was known for his sharp intellect, quick wit, and the deep compassion he extended to others. He spent his life seeking inner peace and happiness, leaving an enduring impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his mother, Sharyl Gammerler (husband Manfred); his father, Michael Demerly (wife Junieth); his partner, Tiffany Slay; his sisters, Marina Gammerler (partner Dylan Price) and Tasha Demerly (partner Richard Neil); his paternal grandparents, Donna Wilkinson and Tom Demerly; his nieces, Aurora and Layla Neil. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Trudy Kanitz. Jaron's family and friends will forever cherish the beautiful memories and moments they shared with him.
In honor of Jaron, a celebration of life will be held on March 29th at 3:00 pm at his mother's residence, 1309 Windmill Dr., Lafayette, IN. Friends and family are invited to share their joy, sorrow, and love for Jaron.
