Jason J. Bridgers Burkle, age 54, went home to his Lord and Savior in his childhood home in Germantown, TN on June 21, 2024. Jason was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 25, 1969 to Henry & Sandra Bridgers who preceded him in death, along with his sister, Stacie Leigh (age 5). He was a beloved brother to Scott (Adrea) and Ian (Tonya).
After surviving a tragic fire along with his brothers in 1980, he was adopted by Dr. George and Mrs. Anna Lee Burkle. In Tennessee he attended University of Tennessee Martin, where he was a member of ATO fraternity and met Kathryn, the mother of his children, Harrison, Ryan and Alex. He completed a degree in finance and operations management at the University of Memphis.
His longtime love of the Lord led him to work many summers as a youth at Pinecrest Camp in Moscow, TN. As an adult, he was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church and volunteered along with being a member of the "Conehead Team". He was also a frequent volunteer at the union missions in Memphis, TN.
His fun-loving spirit and larger-than-life personality that brought a lot of people joy and comfort will be missed by family and friends, including his mother Mrs. Anna Lee Burkle, brothers Scott (Adrea) and Ian (Tonya), children Harrison (Erin), Ryan (Marcus), and Alex, grandson Harrison Jr., nieces Avery and Piper, and nephew Aiden.
Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10am with services to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Union Mission in Memphis or Pinecrest Camp and Conference Center.
