Jason Hancock was born May 28, 1952, and departed this life Monday, September 22, 2025, reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of the late Fred and Sadie (Dishman) Hancock.

He is survived by: his wife, Jessie Hancock; two sons, Tracy Hancock (Tabatha) and Michael Hancock; two daughters, Jennifer Stinson and Janice Hancock; grandchildren, Kesley Hancock, Jacob Hancock, Madison Lawson, Devin Stinson, Caleb Williamson, Jade Gantz, Hayden Hancock, Chris Hale, and Jason Hale; and great grandchildren, Kendalyn Lair, Jaycelee Lawson, Branlee Lawson, Bailee Hancock, Cohen Hancock, and Corbin Hancock.

He is also survived by: three brothers, Kenneth, James, and Donald Hancock; and one sister, Lorene Duncan; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Fred and Sadie Hancock, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Wilburn Clyde and Roy Hancock; and one sister, Dora Robinson.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, at 12 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
