WATERBURY, CT
Jason J. Minnifield, Sr.
"Beloved son, father, brother & uncle"
Jason J. Minnifield Sr., 48, entered the gates of Heaven, he passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was a beloved father to Olivia Mascola and Jason J. Minnifield, Jr. of his late wife, Vanessa (Mascola) Minnifield, who passed away in 2021.
Jason was born on November 30, 1975, in Waterbury, he was the son of Cheryl Minnifield Bell and the late Albert Minnifield, Jr. He is a Wilby High School graduate. Jason was a talented landscaper, working for various companies in the Waterbury area. Known for his his keen sense of humor, love for the New York Giants, and widely recognized for his playful and engaging nature as a father and as a "Uncle Jay". He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Cheryl, and his children, Jason leaves behind his stepson, Dominic Watson of Waterbury, a brother, Jerome Minnifield Sr., and his children, Sharmaine Saunders and Jerome Minnifield, Jr. of Waterbury and his three sisters: Michelle Ferguson and her children, Aric Hoffler and Mariah Meiklem of Wolcott, Elizabeth Vermette, and her children, Moriah Caviasca and Nevya Vermette of Wolcott, and Pamela Roscoe of MD. He leaves behind Melissa's children, Marlion, Marquin and Marshawn Bostic. He is loved by many and will be missed by his aunts, cousins and many friends. Jason was predeceased by his siblings, Albert Minnifield III, Andre Roscoe and Melissa Minnifield.
Arrangements: A memorial service with the cremains present will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Sunday, From 1:00 p.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home.
