Jason's Memorial Video
Jason M. Reimer, age 45, of New London, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Jason was born in Appleton on October 3, 1978 to Jeanne Reimer and the late Jeffrey Stevenson. He spent his early life there, graduating from Appleton East High School in 1997. Throughout the years, Jason worked at B.G. Durite and I.P.G. Jason's life changed for the better in 2003 when he met the person he would spend the rest of his life with, Lacey Griesbach. On June 21, 2008, in front of their family and friends, Jason and Lacey exchanged vows. For 16 years they went on many adventures; their mutual love for travel took them everywhere from rugged camping up north to tropical beaches. Jason and Lacey were blessed with two daughters; Zaylie and Berkley. He was a dedicated father who adored his girls and loved spending time with them. Jason was always excited to share his love for travel and the outdoors with them, making so many memories as a family along the way. Jason was the happiest when he was outdoors. He was a phenomenal fisherman. It didn't matter if he was fishing in his boat or on the ice with his tip ups, he was determined to catch a keeper. He shared this passion with his girls, teaching them to fish from the second they were big enough to hold a pole. He showed them most of his tricks, and as they got older he had to try his best not to be out fished. During the summer you could always find Jason in his usual spot- the backyard. He was happy lounging in a chair by the fire with a cold one and his speaker. Jason liked music of any genre, his playlist ranged from Notorious B.I.G. to Johnny Cash. He liked his music loud and he knew most of the lyrics. And if he didn't know them, he had no problem making up his own. He enjoyed singing along, and if you heard him you would agree, he was really good at it. Jason was hilarious, and he knew it too. The smirk on his face trying to keep himself from laughing said it all. In return, he loved to laugh and his laugh will be unforgettable. Jason found entertainment playing any kind of game, especially around the fire. "Jaysus" liked to dress up in costumes for fun gatherings and always took them to the next level. Some of his best performances took place at Hilltop in Hazelhurst surrounded by his family and friends. J. Reimer had a big personality and he truly has no idea how much his loved ones will miss The Man, The Myth, The Legend.
Jason is survived by his wife, Lacey; his daughters Gwendolyn, Zaylie and Berkley; his mother, Jeanne; a brother, Jake Ross; a grandfather, James Reimer; Lacey's parents, Keith and Marsha Griesbach; Lacey's siblings, Dawn (Mike) Conradt, Hopper Griesbach, Barry (Deb) Griesbach, Donna (Mark) Baumgartner, and Heidi (Scott) Thern; aunts and uncles, Patricia, Michael (Barbara), Greg (Kathy), John (Cheri) and Judy; a special cousin Kayla Marshall and her husband Chris; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Stevenson; his grandmother, Florence Reimer; and bonus family members, Al and Mary Keefe.
A Celebration of Life will take be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating. The visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
