Jay Lewis Edmondson, age 63, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 21, 2025, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. He was born on December 20, 1961, at St. Vincent Hospital in Monett, Missouri to Max and Kay (Woolsey) Edmondson.

Jay is survived by his father Max of Cassville, Missouri; twin brother Jon Edmondson, and his sister Holly Fisher, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Jay was born and raised in Cassville, where he developed a deep love for the Ozarks. He graduated from Cassville High School in 1980. After graduating from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1984, Jay devoted his career to the culinary arts as a banquet chef at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, until his retirement in 2017. His creativity, combined with his love of engineering, shone through in his hobbies, which included rocketry, 3D CAD design, cooking and traveling in the 1973 Winnebago that he helped restore. Jay will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service to celebrate Jay's life will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Private burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
