Jay R. Goretzke, III, 67, of Denver, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 31, 2025 at his home.
Born October 9, 1957 in Indiana, Jay was the son of the late Darlene M. (Barge) and Jay R. Goretzke, Jr.
Jay was a 1976 graduate of Garden Spot High School, New Holland. He worked for Red Rose Roofing, Lancaster, and for Shea Roofing, Carlisle. Jay always had a project he was working on, especially at home. He truly enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the family cabin.
Jay is survived by his two children, Joshua R. Goretzke, husband of Tanya R. (Woytko) Goretzke, Shillington, and Jaymi N. (Goretzke) Moss, Blandon, by their mother, Deborah A. Goretzke-Styer, Fleetwood, his grandchildren, Mia, Jayvien, Declan, and Lyle, and by his little granddaughter on the way. Jay is also survived by his brother James Goretzke, husband of Evenor Goretzke, his sisters, Jane Goretzke and Julia Goretzke, and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his precious granddaughter, Lyla Nicole Moss.
Services for Jay will be held privately by his family.
