Jay Darrin Jones

Jay Darrin Jones, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, joined his heavenly father on July 22, 2023. Jay fought a long and hard battle with cancer, but he never gave up.
Jay was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 18, 1966 to his mother, Margaret Jones and late father, Jimmie Jones.
He graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 1984 where he was known for being an outstanding runner who broke many records.
He joined the workforce and became a convenient store manager for the next 39 years.
He was also an active member at Beechland Baptist Church.
He loved to dance and sing, watch UofK basketball and football, and more importantly he loved his family.
Left to carry on his memory; loving wife Vickie Jones; daughter Hayley Barr (Derek); mother Margaret Jones (Jimmie); brother Jeff Jones (Leesa) sister Karen Shelton (Alan); sister Kathy Darby (John); sister Karen Shelton; sister Kris Jolly (Greg); and uncle to many.
Visitation will be held Thursday July 27, 2023 from 2-8 pm at Owen Funeral Homes located at 5317 Dixie Highway Louisville, Kentucky 40216.
The service will be held Friday July 28, 2023 at 11 am at Owen Funeral Homes.
