Jay Howard Wilson

JAY HOWARD WILSON, age 52, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life suddenly at his residence on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Mr. Wilson was born in San Bernardino, California, to the late Otis Kermit Wilson and Vera Jane Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a 1989 Fontana High School Graduate. He met his wife, Jennifer in High School. They were married in 1995 and relocated to Winchester within months of their marriage. Mr. Wilson's father had relatives that lived in Tullahoma and his parents moved to Tennessee to be close to them. They all made Franklin County their new home. Mr. Wilson was an avid boxing fan. He also enjoyed fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a 28-year employee at Wal-Mart in Winchester where he started out stocking shelves and had climbed their promotion ladder to become Electronics Manager.
His friendly smile will be greatly missed by his co-workers and customers that he so enjoyed helping at Wal-Mart. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, brother, friend and "great" Uncle, that loved and cared deeply for his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jennifer Wilson of Estill Springs, Brothers, Keith Wilson of Estill Springs and Jefferey Wilson of Rockland, Cal., Nephews: Charles Wilson, Jordan (Elly) Wilson, Joshua Wilson of Rockland, Cal. and Jacob Wilson of San Bernardino, Cal. and one niece, Jovie Wilson of Tullahoma, Tenn. Great-Nephew, Jackson Wilson of Estill Springs.
Services for Mr. Wilson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 30, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Eulogist, Josh Konrad, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon on Thursday, prior to the Service at 2:00 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Interment will follow in Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
