Jean Miller Adams

Mrs. Jean Miller Adams, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at ECU Health Center.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lennie Furlough officiating. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Jean was born to the late Arthur and Helen Hyman Miller on March 9, 1947. She was a graduate of J.H. Rose High School and attended East Carolina University. For more than 15 years Jean worked in Computer Processing with Union Carbide before going to work with Pitt County Schools. She worked with the Student Information Systems (SIMS) for a number of years prior to her retirement.
Jean will be fondly remembered for her love of family. She greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren and following their activities. She was accomplished in crocheting and enjoyed sharing prayer shawls and baby blankets. Jean also was a strong supporter of the United States military with family having served our country as well as organizations assisting Disabled American Veterans. In addition, she was very interested in World War II history. A loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Jean will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by husband, Marvin Thomas "Gene" Adams.
She is survived by: Sons, Chad Adams and wife, Amy, and Jason Adams; Daughter, Heather Adams, all of Greenville;
Grandchildren, Virginia Adams and fiance', Trey Harrell, Alissa Norville, and Jessie Norville; Great-grandchildren, Mariah and Mariana; Sister, Karen Tyndall of Greenville; Brother, Arthur Lee Miller, Jr. of Los Angeles; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
