Jean Williams Brewer, 78, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Atrium Health in Winston-Salem, NC.
Jean was born on August 14, 1947, in Forsyth County, North Carolina. She was raised by her mother, Doris Cline, and beloved stepfather, Rufus Cline. Jean graduated from James A. Gray High School and earned an associate’s degree from Forsyth Technical Community College.
During her career, Jean worked for many different companies, including Reynolds Tobacco, Kimberly Clark, and Keebler. However, she found her passion in the real estate industry. Jean owned and operated Real-Time Realty in the Winston-Salem area. She used her interior design skills to improve the staging of houses for greater appeal to buyers. As a realtor, she was involved in the Winston-Salem Realtor’s Association.
For many years, Jean and her husband, Ray, were leaders in the organization, Better Marriages, North Carolina. They worked with each other and other couples to promote healthy marriages through enrichment and educational opportunities.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Brewer; daughter, Tracy Williams; son, Jason Williams (Wendy); granddaughters, Ivy Williams, Alex Williams, Sara Bennet; and sister, Patsy Black.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, by Dr. Doug Murray. A reception will follow the service from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Bermuda Run Clubhouse, 324 Bermuda Run Dr, Bermuda Run, NC 27006.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dragonfly House, 387 Valley Rd, Mocksville, NC 27028.
Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is respectfully serving the family.
