Jean was born in Catskill, NY to LeRoy and Josephine Wood on April 12,1940. She attended Coxsackie High School and graduated class of 1957. Jean enjoyed traveling to Key West, and spending time with her grandchildren and her precious dog, Giorgina.
Jean is survived by her husband of 39 years, George Frees of Myrtle Beach, daughter Natalie DuRant (Wesley), grandchildren Elizabeth Ballantine (Matthew) and Wesley DuRant, great-grandchildren Wilson and Lillianne Ballantine, siblings Leonard Wood and Mary Jane Frank (Yale), along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her sister Patricia Esposita.
Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet, SC on March 22, 2024.
