In loving memory of our beloved Jean (Jeanie) L. Hager. Jean left us peacefully on September 7th, surrounded by love, and was welcomed home with a celebration by God and those, who went home before her.

Mom was truly one-of-a-kind. Born on the Fourth of July in 1930, it's no surprise she was a real firecracker! With her gorgeous red hair and an even more vibrant spirit, she brought so much life and love into the world. Her parents, Dermot Raphael Loman and Thelma Margaret Springer, surely knew they had a special one on their hands.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Jean knew her kindness was boundless, her sincerity was unwavering, and her respect and love for others were simply infectious. She had this incredible gift for making everyone feel seen and cherished. To our family, she was Mom or simply, Grandma, but to so many others, she was a devoted wife to our dad, Don, a loving parent to Ron, Tim, and me (Lisa), a dear sister to Betsy and Leonard, and just an amazing friend. Her warmth touched countless lives.

Mom's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a strong devoted woman of God, serving as a Deacon and a lifelong member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Onalaska.

And if you knew Jean, you knew her passion for flowers and gardening! She poured that love into her role as treasurer and member of the Valley Garden Club of Onalaska. Her garden was her happy place, and she truly made the world a more beautiful spot. Not to mention, she was also an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners! Jean was very studious and enthusiastic about reading, in fact she worked at her high school's library, El Monte High School. And, the Los Angeles County Library, for eleven years as a page and later as a Librarian Assistant. Something she treasured throughout the years. She retired from working at Sears, of 20 years, in July of 1992.

Her biggest joy, though, was always her family. Dad (Donald) was her rock and love of her life for 65 incredible years. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her dedication to all of us was so evident and such an inspiration to everyone around her.

She leaves behind so many who loved her dearly, including me and my brother, Ron (and his wife, Virginia). She was also the proud grandma of 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and even 4 great-great-grandchildren! Her absence will be deeply felt by all her loved ones and close friends.

Mom is now reunited with our dear dad, Donald E. Hager, our brother Timothy E. Hager, her siblings Betsy J. Cole and Leonard L. Loman, and her niece Patricia (Patty) Cole, who all passed before her.

We'd love for you to join us as we celebrate Jean's amazing life on Sunday, October 12th, at 2:00 PM at the Community Presbyterian Church of Onalaska. Following the service, we'll be having a potluck, and all friends and loved ones are warmly invited to share food and memories with us.

In lieu of flowers, if you'd like to honor Mom's memory, she would have absolutely loved donations to either the Valley Garden Club of Onalaska or the Community Presbyterian Church of Onalaska.
