Jean Louise Kimpling (nee Buehrle) passed away peacefully at home at Friendship Village-Chesterfield at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Kimpling; youngest child of the late Lena (Epple) and William E. Buehrle; mother of Robert A. (Peggy) Kimpling of St. Charles, Missouri, and Richard W. (Beth) Kimpling of Gainesville, Georgia; loving grandmother of Ross, Ian, Anna and Ally; preceded in death by her brother William Buehrle of Sharon, Connecticut, and sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Stanton of Chesterfield, Missouri; aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Born and raised in Ferguson, Missouri, Jean attended Washington University where she met her husband, Bob. Atter marrying in 1954, both Bob and Jean began their teaching careers in the Ferguson-Florissant School District, Jean then taking a break to raise their sons. After moving to Wright City, Missouri, in 1989, Jean ended her teaching career at Wright City High School where she was a popular librarian and senior sponsor. Her true joy in life was educating students of all ages and spending time with friends and family.
Memorials may be made out to the Friendship Village Foundation: FV Hospice 12563 Village Circle Dr. Sunset Hills, MO 63127.
A private interment will take place at St. Charles Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 30, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel at Friendship-Village Chesterfield.
