Jean L. Langan, 91, of Enfield, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 18, 2024. She was born on February 5, 1933 in New Haven, CT to Frank and Myrtle (Wingate) Lucente. She married Raymond Langan and they raised their family in Enfield. Jean enjoyed quilting and making cards with a group of wonderful ladies in her free time. She always supported her children and grandchildren in all activities. She was a member of Goldtones and Somersville Congregational Church.
She is survived by her daughter; Brenda Whitehead and sons; David Langan and his wife Donna and Mark Langan and his wife Shirley, grandchildren; Mark Jr., Brian, Steven, Anthony, Jennifer, Jacquelyn and 9 great-grandchildren, sister; Geri Turner. Jean was predeceased by her husband; Raymond Langan, parents; Frank and Myrtle Lucente, son; Andrew Langan and sister; Cecile Dunn.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 10:30 am at Somersville Congregational Church, 22 Maple St., Somers, CT. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Somersville Congregational Church. Aunt Jean was the sweetest lady; she could be very funny and had a great laugh. I remember her being crafty as well and we'll miss receiving her beautiful handmade Christmas cards.
