Jean Ann Luce

Jean Ann Luce, beloved wife and mother, went to heaven on January 22, 2022 at the age of 71. She was born in Ardmore, OK to Jesse Paul and Wanda Lee Alton.
Jean grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Central High School in 1968 and had an Associate degree in Business Administration. Jean worked at Kerr McGee for 13 years. Following Kerr McGee, she then went into the prison ministry as a Chaplain at the Oklahoma County Jail for 9 years. Jean also worked at the Boys Ranchtown in Edmond, OK as an Associate House Parent. Later volunteering for 15 years sharing the gospel with the incarcerated youth at the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center. Jean continued her calling in ministries till the end of her life.
Jean married Hank in 1995 in Midwest City, OK. They were happily married for 26 years.
Jean and Hank loved working together with the incarcerated youth. She loved to hike. As a member of the Oklahoma Ankle Express, she once hiked the Razors Edge Trail in Colorado along the Continental Divide. Jean loved to be outdoors and enjoy gardening. She was a certified Master Gardner.
Jean is survived by her spouse Hank Luce of Midwest City, OK; her daughter's Dedra Ann Blackwell (husband Mark Blackwell) of Midwest City, OK and Stacey Lynn Rikard of San Fransico, CA; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Wanda Alton; her siblings Daryl Alton, Eddie Alton, Halene Humprey, Lynn Carter and Lee Alton and her two beloved twin son's Justin Kyle Rikard and Jason Paul Rikard.
A funeral service will be held at Choctaw Road Baptist Church, 14971 East Reno, Choctaw OK at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 27, 2022. A visitation will be held at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73130 on Tuesday, January 25th from 12:00pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday, January 26th 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 26th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Burial will follow the funeral at Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
