In Loving Memory of Jean C. Savoca
May 25, 1931 to December 8, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jean, who departed this life peacefully on December 8 at the age of 93.
Born on May 25, 1931, in Brooklyn, Jean lived a life filled with love, faith, and kindness. She was the cherished matriarch of our family, whose wisdom and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.
Jean was devoted to her family, always placing them at the center of her heart. She shared 59 years of marriage with her late husband, Roy, and together they built a home filled with love and laughter. Her children, Kenneth and daughter-in-law Shelley, Roy and daughter-in-law Kathy, Donna and son-in-law Larry, and grandchildren, Kenny and wife Shonita, Alex, Matt and Emma, were her pride and joy.
A pillar of her community, Jean dedicated time to the church, embodying a selfless spirit that inspired those around her. Her unwavering faith carried her through life's joys and challenges, and she was a source of strength for all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving family, including Diane, Art, Leila, Mark, Artie, Eileen, Steven, and Maria, and numerous great-nieces and nephews and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church. Friends and family will gather in support at Holy Trinity at 9:00 am, followed by a mass at 10:00 am. Jean will be interred at Fairview Cemetery immediately following the mass.
The family requests no flowers be sent and kindly requests donations in her name to the Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation. https://conniedwyerbreastcancerfoundation.networkforgood.com/projects/192349-general-donations
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with those who went before her. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, dear Jean. You will always be remembered and forever missed.
