We will miss Jeannie's smile, her quiet ways, her infectious laugh, and her beautiful voice. Her days of singing with the Sweet Adeline's International were some of her happiest times, but she also loved hosting annual 4th of July parties in her backyard in Florham Park!
She was born in Rutherford and attended St. Mary's Grammar and High School. She graduated from St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, MD. In 1967 she married the love of her life, Ken.
Jeannie is predeceased by her husband, Ken Allen, her parents Raymond and Jeanette, and her brothers, Jerry, Tommy, Paul and Jimmy. She is survived by her sister, Celine Kerwin, her sisters-in-law, Kathy Kerwin and Joanie Kerwin, seven nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends for Memorial Visiting Monday August 18th from 9:30 to 10:30am
at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford thereafter at 11:00am will
be a Mass of Chrisian Liturgy at the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
