Jeanne Marie Pesola

Jeanne Marie Pesola (née Flashing) February 22, 1942 - August 23, 2021 Palm Desert, CA Our beloved mother, Jeanne, left us August 23rd at the age of 79. Unafraid, she returned home to the Lord. Jeanne Marie Pesola (née: Flashing) cherished her loving marriage of over 50 years to Carmen M. Pesola (predeceased in 2014). She was a loving mother and guiding light for her three children: Marie Pesola, Mike Pesola, and Marnie Ungeran (née: Pesola); daughter-in-law Elena Pesola (née: Griciuvience); her grandchildren Marijus Gricius, Ieva Griciute, Jacob Ungeran and Matthew Ungeran; great grandson Jokubas Gricius. She raised her small family in their Park Ridge home and retired 18 years ago to Palm Desert, California. Driven by a seemingly unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit, Jeanne fulfilled her passion as a beautician and store owner of "A New Creation Beauty Salon and Connoisseur's Corner Gift Shop" as well as fashion and accessories showrooms in Chicago. For the last 40 years, she had been successfully selling private label cosmetics. Jeanne lived life on her own terms— full of love, compassion, service to church and mission work. Her genuine devotion to others touched everyone she met. "I love working for the Lord," she would tell her friends. "There's no greater job anyone could ask for. The joy of being used by the Lord is the best reward we can have here in our life." Fueled by her sense of adventure, Jeanne traveled the world. Her favorite times were spent visiting family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Come with Me— God saw you getting tired A cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you And whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you fade away.
