Jeffery Glenn Jackson, born September 16, 1961, in Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 63. A devoted and loving father, brother and husband. He served as a firefighter for over three decades, Jeff dedicated his life to protecting others and was known throughout the community for his courage, compassion, and unwavering professionalism.
Jeff graduated from Lewisville High School in 1980. He served proudly in the fire service for 28 years and spent the final years of his career with the Grapevine Fire Department, where he retired in 2014.
He lived a life of purpose and principle. He served proudly, led humbly, and loved deeply. He was the kind of man who did not need recognition to make an impact. He simply showed up and gave his best.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Phyllis, his son Lucas Jackson, grandchildren, Harper and Hazel Jackson, his brother Michael Jackson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Robert Dale Jackson and Mattie Lanelle Jackson, whose strong example of integrity and service shaped his own life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 10:00 am, at Mulkey-Mason Chapel, Lewisville, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 am.
Jeff's bravery, kindness, and dedication touched countless lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of service will continue to inspire.
