Jeffery Nicholas Kendall, known affectionately to friends and family as "Jeff/Big Boy" passed away tragically in a truck accident on May 24, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on March 27, 1974, in South Bend, Indiana, to John & Susan (Davis) Kendall.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife, Tami (Nekvasil) Kendall, and three children; Melannie (Richie) Hahn, Jayme Kendall, and Chris Kendall. His life was further enriched by the joy of his granddaughter, Skylynn Hahn, who was the apple of his eye. He also leaves behind his mother, Susan (Davis) Kendall, his sister, Delynn (Billy) Britton, and his brothers, Andrew and Jesse Kendall. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and his infant brother, Christopher.
Jeff was a man of many virtues: generous, handy, a listener, and faith- filled. These traits were evident to all who knew him, both personally and professionally. As a semi-truck driver, Jeff's work ethic and dedication was unparalleled. He took pride in his career on the road, embracing the responsibility that came with each journey and forming lasting friendships within the trucking community.
Outside of his professional life, Jeff was a master craftsman with a passion for woodworking. His skilled hands could create both functional and artistic pieces, often leaving those who received his work in awe of the care and detail he put into every project. His creations were not just objects; they were extensions of his generous spirit, often given as gifts to loved ones and friends.
Above all, Jeff cherished the time spent with his family, particularly his granddaughter, Sky. Their bond was a testament to his loving nature and the joy he found in his role as a grandfather. His teachings and the example he set will live on in Skylynn, as she grows under the influence of his wisdom and kindness.
His faith was a guiding force in his life, providing solace in times of trouble and celebration in moments of joy. It was this faith that imbued him with a sense of purpose and compassion, qualities that he shared generously with those around him.
We bid farewell to Jeff, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His journey on this earth may have come to an end, but his spirit continues to guide us. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jeff's life will be commemorated on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00 am ~ 12:00pm. Services beginning at 12:00 pm with Minister Erika "Thump" Hardy/Pike officiating. Palmer ~Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46545 is assisting the family.
