Jeffery Wayne Nelson

Jeffery Wayne Nelson, 54, of Camby, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. 

Jeff was born on January 14, 1970 in Indianapolis to Michael Nelson and Zandra Mozzillo. Jeff was a 1988 graduate of Mooresville High School. Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Operation Desert Storm. He earned his Associates degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Jeff worked for NSK Precision America in Franklin, IN where he worked as a Designer/Draftsman.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Nelson; parents, Mike and Connie Nelson and Zandra Mozzillo; children, Megan Nelson, Shelby Nelson, MacKenzie Nelson, Spencer Nelson, Sawyer Nelson; grandchildren, Makiah Nelson, Maddox Nelson; brother, Chris Nelson; sister, Sarah Wagner; step-sisters, Lorna (James) Manley, Carrie Hurst, Michelle (Andy) Moorman and many nieces and nephews. 

Jeff was a team member of IMMHG, Indianapolis, Metropolitan Military Honor Guard for 6 years. He was very dedicated and proud to be able to honor other fallen veterans and their families. 

Visitation is Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm followed by military honors. 

Burial will take place at a later date at Crown Hill National Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
