Jeffery (Jeff) S. Rush
64, passed away Saturday February 25, 2023 Peacefully at Community North Hosptial with his children and wife by his side.
Jeff was born January 11, 1959 in South Bend, IN and lived in New Carlisle, IN. He graduated from New Prairie High School in 1977 and continued to follow their football team every year after. He was a graduate of Indiana University and worked as an accountant at DFAS, Ft Ben Harrison (Indianapolis, IN) before retiring in January 2023.
He was preceded in Death by his father Karl. Jeff was survived by his mother Bonnie Troyer (Russell) wife Karen (Cogil), Children Ryan and Sarah (Tyler) as well as bonus children Whitney and Garrett. He had three beautiful grandsons Mason, Calvin and Bennett who he adored. Brothers Daniel (Cathy), Rodney (Jody) and Karl A. Several nieces and nephews.
At Jeff’s request there will be no services but we will be having a celebration of life in the spring which is his favorite time of year (Morel hunting time).
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to “Meet me Under the Bridge” which is helping the homeless, Jeff loved feeding the homeless every Sunday he could for as long as he could. To make donations PO Box 42159, Indianapolis IN 46259.
