In addition to his devoted wife, Jeff is survived by his parents Dean and Ann Becker; sisters Carol Wright (Bill) and Linda Hoertz (Geoffrey); his brother Scott Becker (Wendy); and his stepdaughters Julie Machado (Peter) and Stephanie Kogut. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Colton, Callum, Morgan, Miles, Eliza and Cameron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was born on April 21, 1958 in York and graduated from Spring Grove Area High School in 1976. He was a 50 year member of Friendship Hose Company No. 1 (Spring Grove) starting as a junior firefighter at the age of sixteen and serving in various capacities including Fire Chief. He was a volunteer EMT with the Spring Grove Area Ambulance for six years. Jeff was a 55 year member of the Jefferson Sportsmen's Association.
Jeff was previously employed by Weis Markets as an Assistant Manager. He retired from Glatfelter in 2020 after 30 years of service and held various positions including Distribution Services Manager and IT Business Analyst. He retired from the IT department of Pixelle Specialty Solutions in 2023.
In his younger days, Jeff was an avid bowler and had rolled a 300 game. He was a passionate golfer who taught himself to build his own golf clubs. He was a dedicated dad to his dogs Loki and Lola. Jeff especially enjoyed being a grandpa and spending time with his six grandchildren.
Jeff will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A graveside service will be held on October 11, 2024 at 11 AM at Holy Savior Cemetery, 3420 N. Susquehanna Trail, York with Pastor Matthew Folkemer-Leonard officiating. In remembrance of Jeff, please join the family for a Celebration of Life luncheon at the Great American Saloon, 20 Dairyland Square, Red Lion on October 11, 2024 at 12 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jeff's name to Friendship Hose Company No. 1, 73 S. Main St. PO Box 64, Spring Grove, PA 17362.
