Jeffrey Craig Campbell

Jeffrey Craig Campbell, age 76, born December 15, 1947 in Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024, with his wife and loving family by his side.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Florence (Coslet) Campbell; father, Martin Campbell; brothers, Terry Campbell and Dwayne Campbell; and twin sister, Bonny (Campbell) Biffert (Dell). Jeff is survived by his wife Susan (Pangburn) Campbell, whom he married in 2017 and lived in Westville, IN; daughter, Temple (Campbell) Harlow (Ron); son, Jeffrey Jr. (Julie); three grandchildren, Alex, Payton and Rylee; step daughters, Elisa Turich (Allen), Lisa (Flatz) Hohe (Ray); and step son, Rob Flatz.
Jeff attended Chesterton High School, class of 1966 and so enjoyed reconnecting with classmates and friends he grew up with, at class reunions. Jeff also attended Prairie State College. Jeff retired from Inland Steel after 30 years in 1996. Jeff was a Navy veteran, an avid bowler, fisherman, a card shark playing poker, euchre and pinochle and was an avid dog lover who enjoyed many dogs throughout his life. Jeff was also involved with many duties at the American Legion in Highland, IN.
Jeff will surely be missed and remembered by all those that loved him.
A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the American Legion Post 170, 798 Wabash Ave., Chesterton, IN, to share and reminisce memories of Jeff. Memorial donations in Jeff's honor may be made to Lakeshore PAWS, 4611 Evans Ave., Valparaiso, IN 46383, or to any local animal shelters.
