Jeffrey Bruce Chapman, age 83, of Findlay, OH, passed away at home on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born on August 10, 1941 to Albert B. and Virginia M. (Meyer) Chapman in Toledo, OH. He later served his nation in the U.S. Air Force as well as the reserves following his active-duty service. He was married prior, and was blessed with two sons. He found love again marrying Mary E. Overmyer in Findlay, OH, on May 12, 1995. Jeffrey and Mary have celebrated over 29 years of marriage together.
Jeffrey worked as a Nurses Aid for the Ann Arbor VA hospital until he retired. He enjoyed bowling, reading, going camping, collecting and working with his model trains and watching Fox News during his free-time. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his dog Ruby.
In addition to his wife Mary, Jeffrey is survived by his sons: Derich (Lisa) Chapman of Swanton and Dorian (Bobbi) Chapman of Toledo, Grandchildren: Megan (Apryl) Chapman, Brandon Chapman, Jayden Chapman, and great-grandson, Julian. Sisters: Sidney (Phil) Fogle of Pemberville, Deborah Chapman of Pemberville, Barbara (Danny) Davis of Northwood. Numerous nieces and nephews, K-9 pal, Ruby and feline friend, Sock. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gerald B. Chapman.
Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 11 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2024. There will be a time of additional visitation from 10 a.m., until time of service. Officiating will be, Pr. Leroy Sholey. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Bridge Hospice.
