Jeffrey E. Forney

MILLERSBURG - Jeffrey Eugene Forney, age 78, of Millersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at Osteopathic Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on November 24, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA. Jeff was married to his high school sweetheart, Linda, for 59 years. He lived a life defined by love of family, generosity of spirit, hard work, exceptional resilience, and a deep care for others. Jeff had a gift for making those around him feel valued, and he regularly shared his love and passion for the Lord with everyone.
He was a graduate of the Industrial Management Institute in Reading, PA. He worked in the family business at Millersburg Reamer and Tool Company as a business owner and tool maker until retirement. Jeff was an active member of David's Community Bible Church in Millersburg where he served on Consistory and the Service Team.
Jeff was the son of the late Roy and Esther Forney. He is survived by his loving wife Linda and his three children, Lisa Zerby (Steve) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Denise Hoke (David) of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Gary Forney (Jodi) of Millersburg. Jeff is also survived by his grandchildren Brett and Brent Forney, Tyler and Kylie Hoke, and Taryn and Ashley Zerby and his brother Vaughn Forney of Millersburg.
Jeff will be remembered for his kindness, for the joy he gave to others, for the light he brought to every room he entered, and for leaving a legacy of faith and love through his family.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday, October 10, 2025, at David's Community Bible Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private for the family only in the church cemetery.
