She was born on October 4, 1937 in Klingerstown, PA the daughter of [the late] Lawrence and Lillian (Williard) Stiely.
She retired after 38 years from Michael Foods, Klingerstown. She was a member of St. Michaels Church,Klingerstown.
A 1955 graduate of Hegins Township High School and was also class president.
Nancy enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers, and known for her great family meals and her delicious spam pot pie.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Leonard L. "Buzzy" Shaffer; Their children, Richard (Vicki) Shaffer, Hegins, Denise (Steve) Ney, Valley View, Valerie (Patrick) Gilbert, Northumberland, and, Jason (Lisa) Shaffer, Klingerstown; Grandchildren, Kyle, Kip, Bridgit, Brody, Bronson, Tori, Nolan, Rogen and Kamden; Great Grandchildren, Lily, Rydan, Brooks, Evelyn and Stetson; Sisters, Peggy Brosious, Rebuck and Doris (Kenneth) Witmer, Dalmatia; Sister-in-law, Marcelle Stiely, Klingerstown.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Stiely.
At the request of Nancy, there will be no services. Instead, please make a memorial donation to your favorite charity in memory of Nancy.
