Jeffrey John Gabel

Jeffrey John Gabel, age 53 of Corning, New York passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 30, 2024 at home. He was born on July 23, 1971 in Elmira, New York to Dale and Virginia (Harrison) Gabel. Jeffrey was a graduate of Addison High School class of 1989.
Jeffrey was a dedicated employee of the Corning Building Company and later Home Depot in Painted Post. He will be fondly remembered for his charisma and outgoing personality. He loved music, watching movies with family and creating cherished moments with family and friends.
Jeffrey found joy in boating and swimming on Keuka Lake, along with rides on his four-wheeler across the family property in Borden. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with loved ones. His beloved dogs, Dalton and Buck, were always by his side. In recent months, he had developed a newfound interest in growing and nurturing houseplants, reflecting his nurturing spirit.
Jeffreys warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jeffrey is survived by his parents Dale and Virginia Gabel of Painted Post, Aunts: Jan Jessen of Corning, Jane Toye of Painted Post, Betsy (Tim) Rice of Painted Post, Nancy Gabel of Waneta Lake; cousins: Jamey Harrison (more like a sister) of Painted Post, Jeremy Rice (Amber Hart) of Corning, Jonathan Gavazzi of Horseheads, NY, Christine Gavazzi of Newark Valley, NY, Megan (Don) Williams of Apalachin, NY, Karen (Sam) Gabel Ruggieri of Philadelphia, PA, Michael ( Ashley) Gabel of Elkland, PA, Chris (Stacy) Gabel of Corning, NY, Gregg (Charity) Jessen of Amhert, NH, Andrew (Lisette) Jessen of Beaver Creek, OH, Paul Jessen of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Philip Jessen of Burbank CA.
Jeffrey was predeceased by grandparents: Arnold and Lucile Gabel, Irma and James Harrison; uncles: Glen Gabel, James Gabel; aunt: Jeanette Gabel; cousin, Laurie Gabel Hanley.
Family and friends are invited to call at Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00am with Rev. Troy Preston officiating.
