Jeffrey C. King, 61, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on April 25, 2024. He was born on August 1, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, to Floyd E. King and Helen C. King. Jeff is survived by his loving family: His wife Christina J. King, brother Pete (Camille) King, son Jason (Avery) King, son Jared (Maggie) King, son Cameron (Nicolette) Briggs, son Christian Briggs, and his four grandchildren Charles, Elle, William, and Brooks. Jeff was preceded in death by his first wife Susan E. King, his father, Floyd, his mother, Helen, and his brothers, Donn and Gary King.
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Jeff attended Wehrle Catholic High School where he excelled as a student-athlete. Jeff went on to pursue a Degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University while also playing for the Buckeyes Varsity Baseball Team (1981-1984). Jeff was the recipient of multiple Big-Ten Conference Awards for his achievements on the field and in the classroom, including the highest honor of Academic All-American. Jeff left Ohio State with multiple school records and was Drafted by the New York Yankees after his senior year. Following his playing career Jeff achieved the CPA designation and went to work in Columbus for Peat Marwick (now KPMG) where he met his first wife Susan Ellwood. Jeff spent the majority of his career working for the Digital Storage, SubmitOrder.com, and NCT Ventures family of companies, all headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. After taking an early work "retirement" to follow his sons' baseball careers across the country in his beloved "RV King" motorhome, Jeff helped with the founding and growth of the new family business, C&A Benefits Group, with his wife Christina.
Jeff will be remembered for his leadership, mentorship, and most of all, his work ethic. Jeff was the ultimate competitor and left an impact on every business, coworker, and friend that he had in his life. He was a man that inspired, constantly sought improvement in all things, and made you want to be great. When Jeff gave you his time you listened, learned, and walked away a better person for having crossed paths in life.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held on May 10th, 2024 from 5-8pm at The Club at Corazon, 7155 Corazon Drive, Dublin, OH 43016.

So saddened to learn of Jeff´´s passing. My thoughts of him take me to childhood, Corpus Christi and all the times spent with neighborhood friends. At the time we had no concept of how cherished those friendships and memories of playing kickball in the school yard would be.
My deepest condolences to all Jeff´s family and friends. May God´s Love wrap you all In Peace.

We just lost a great one. Many memories come flooding back regarding Wehrle HS, basketball, golf or just hanging around. Since then watching him play for OSU, talking to him about careers, catching up during his 'retirement' to watch his sons' baseball games and other things. All of these will be treasured for the rest of my days. Jeff and His family will be in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Most of my childhood memories are filled with baseball, football and basketball games with Jeff and Pete King. Bill Van Dyke, Matt Groom, and the rest of the neighborhood guys. The summer times spent at Sills. All coming back to me. Very saddened to hear of Jeff's passing away. Rest in peace dear old friend. See you again one day in Heaven.

My brother from another mother. Met you in kindergarten. Lived across the schoolyard from you. Spent the next 12 years together at Corpus Christi and Wehrle. We were inseparable for so many years. All the summers playing ball at Sills. Competing with each other on the basketball court, baseball field, football field, golf course etc...You name it we did it. You made me better at all those things. My heart is breaking. Much love and prayers for your family and all of us that loved you. Rest easy my friend.

I will always cherish our times growing up together at Corpus Christi and then on to Wehrle High School. When seeing him at times since those years, it was always as if we were all still the same ole kids. Time just stood still. I had just heard last week he was sick, broke my heart.

Sending my deepest condolences & prayers to your family. I am so sorry for your loss. Jeff was always one of my favorite people. Rest In Peace my ole friend.
