Jeffrey Lee "Jeff" Kriner, 76, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on August 7, 2024, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on April 27, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Mary (Martin) Kriner. He grew up there until his family moved to Lexington, Indiana, before his freshman year where he graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School in 1966. As a child, Jeff said his fondest memories were of spending summers on his Grandpa's farm where he got to play with his siblings, his uncle Junior, riding and driving tractors, and watching his grandpa herd cattle. He had many friends who could tell stories, but not as long as the ones he told. He worked as a truck driver for many companies, including Coca-Cola and Pepsi before going into business for himself as an antique dealer, furniture builder, and avid junk collector. He was known for his love of hot rods and expertise at loading junk onto the back of his truck, so much so that he often won bets on it. He loved to go for a Sunday drive, especially in their '49 Ford pickup. The two loves of his life were his wife, Pam, and his daughter, Andrea. He and Pam were married on December 2, 1988 and spent a very happy thirty-five years of marriage together. They loved to create things and repurpose furniture together. He and his daughter Andrea, whom he called "Biggin" from birth, had a great bond of many things, but especially humor. He will be missed by many including his wife, Pamela Spencer Kriner; his daughter, Andrea Kriner (Phillip) Carroll; step son, Todd (Cara) Lawson; grandson, Jacob; two sisters, Kim Kriner (Stanley) Allen and Clare Kriner Hundley; his sisters-in-law, Debbie (Randy) Wiesman, Connie (Bobby) Barnard, and Charlotte (Jimmie Rutherford) Campbell; many nieces and nephews; and his honorary granddaughters, Carlee and Lily. Preceding him in death are his loving mother, Mary Kriner; and two brothers, Floyd "Bud" (Brenda) Kriner and Karmen Kriner. Funeral service for Jeff will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 6:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. A private family burial will proceed the funeral service on Wednesday at New Providence Cemetery in Austin, Indiana. Online Condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net
