Jeffrey Allen Loftis "J" was born in Corvallis Oregon February 4, 1975, to Roy and Kaye Loftis, the oldest of their three children. He passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 50 after a short illness due to complications of organ failure at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital in Portland Oregon.
Jeff was a musician, lyricist, and singer for many years. He was also a talented artist and chef. He worked for several years in sports media for the Minnesota Vikings. Of all the things he loved, his daughters, Brittney and Mela, and sons Canyon and Draven were at the top of the list.
Family is what he loved most, and he opened his heart to everyone around him. Everything he did was big; and he sure loved big. He didn't like to end any conversation or visit with goodbye. He wanted to end with "I love you". You had no doubt about how he felt when you left him. Our hearts are broken, and we can't believe he's gone from us.
In addition to his parents, Kaye and Roy of Sheridan, Oregon, He is survived by sisters Stacey Kim (Allen) of Camas, WA, and Andrea Loftis of Gresham, Oregon. His daughter Brittney Gibbs of St Peter, MN, sons Draven and Canyon Loftis of Eden Prairie, MN, and Mela Loftis of Olivet, South Dakota.
He is also survived by his three grandsons, Dylan, Layne and AJ; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends who were family to him throughout the years.
He requested no formal service be held, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
