Jeffrey Ritter Obituary
Jeffrey J. Ritter, 57, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Jeff was born June 13, 1968, in Marshall, MN, to James and Bonnie (Murray) Ritter. He grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN, where he graduated from high school. Following high school, Jeff continued his education in accounting. On August 25, 1990, Jeff married his high school sweetheart, Kristi Erickson. Together they made their home in Hawley and started a family. Over the years, he enjoyed working as an accountant. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake and fishing. He loved football and was an avid Vikings fan. Most of all, however, he loved his time with family. He will be dearly missed.
Jeff is survived by his children, Ashley (Rasheed) Salih, Jenny Ritter and Alex Ritter; his grandchildren, Jeremiah and Muna Salih; siblings, Tammy (Rick) Ness, Kim (Kirk) Ritter, and Shaun (Elienette) Ritter; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kristi; and his parents, James and Bonnie.
