Jeffrey Norman Rose, 65, passed away suddenly, surrounded by family and friends Monday, August 26th, at McKay Dee Hospital.
He was born June 24th, 1959 in Ogden, Utah, to parents Farrell K. & Joyce V. Rose. He grew up in Washington Terrace and South Weber, Utah, and later lived in Ogden, Uintah, and spent the last 4 years as a resident of Roy, Utah.
When Jeff was a youth his first job was milking cows for Marlo Poll of South Weber. He would get up very early in the morning, grab his dog "Boots" and off they would go to milk cows. Another early job was working as a bartender where he learned to play pool. He competed in many pool tournaments and always did well.
Jeff attended Lincoln Elementary in Washington Terrace, North Davis Junior High, and Clearfield High School. After school he worked with a good friend, Jeff Hauser who mentored him and taught him all about auto body repair and auto restoration. He later went to work for Ogden Auto Body and Intermountain Armor. He spent a few years working as a ground's keeper at Ogden Nature Center, a local office complex and a couple of years as a construction framer.
Jeff loved going to the sand dunes and riding his three-wheeler, sitting around the camp fire, riding his bike and fishing. He had a love for dogs and built a bond with his brother's dog Roxy. Roxy loved Jeff so much. His brother Guy would let Jeff take Roxy home for a few days. Roxy became known as Jeff's dog more than Guy's dog.
Although Jeff never married nor had children of his own, he loved the family that he had and they loved him. Jeff is survived by his brother Guy (Sandy), one nephew and 3 nieces, Dan, Jamie, Jennifer, and Joni. He is preceded in death by 3 siblings, Todd Mitchel, Nolan Reese, Farrell Bart and his parents Farrell and Joyce.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on September 3rd, 2024, at the Uintah Cemetery, located at 1540 E 6450 S, Uintah, Utah 84405.
His family would like to thank all the first responders, the bystanders, the Roy Police Department and McKay Hospital Emergency and Intensive Care Staff for their excellent care and help. They would also like thank his nurses and staff from the home health care services and all the health care staff from Ogden Clinic. A special thank you to Dr. Darin Winn and his nurses for the extraordinary care during the last couple years of his life.
