Jeffrey Lloyd Schroyer, age 59, of Greencastle, PA, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday, June 16, 2025. Born in Sharpsburg, MD, on October 3, 1965, he was the son of the late Eddie Lloyd and Freda Lorraine (Canfield) Schroyer.
Mr. Schroyer was a 1983 graduate of Boonsboro High School. Jeff was a part of the Sharpsburg Fire Department for about 10 years, as well as the Rescue Hose Company No. 1 for about 10 years, and worked as an in-home Daycare provider for about 15 years. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his beautiful grandchildren and family, whether it was watching TV, playing games, or just getting to talk with them. Jeff enjoyed fishing and would never miss watching a Redskins game.
Surviving are two daughters, Holli Spidel of Greencastle, PA, and Kati Schroyer (Joseph Tinninis) of McConnellsburg, PA; seven grandchildren, William, Ella, Corretta, Callen, Asher, Maggie, and Faith; and three siblings, Rick Canfield, Roxann Maples, and Stacey Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cali Schroyer, in 2011, and his brother, Jake Schroyer. His beloved dog, Duke, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday morning, following Jeff’s passing.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
